Antonin Jousse, "Ici et ailleurs" (Here and Elsewhere) 1/2, 2020. 3D, photogrammetry Print on Dibond, unique copy, 80x42 cm, signed. This print is part of a diptych.
Initiated during the confinement of 2020, this project questions the forced confinement in one's own habitat. This condition has changed the scale of our lives, reducing them to a minimal system bordered by the walls and fences of our homes. The landscape is therefore limited to the views available through the windows, becoming a conditionally accessible elsewhere. And what if the landscape could be born from our objects, our walls, everything that makes up our daily lives, partially made invisible by use? Ici et ailleurs is based on photogrammetry, a compulsive scan of all the objects in the home - furniture, walls and decorations. The objects become landscapes, abstract expanses. Only a few outlines hint at the figure of an object or plant. These geometric landscapes become new spaces in which to travel when it's impossible to get out of the house.
